June gives you time to build a fantasy football team-name shortlist before draft day. Mandatory minicamps and late-offseason contract news offer player references for a new name.

June's strongest naming hooks come from rookie landing spots, the released international schedule, contract news, and players whose camp roles were drawing attention.

Tank Dell Comeback Names

KPRC's June 13 report says Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is preparing for increased training-camp activity after the serious knee injury he suffered in December 2024. The same report notes that Dell was limited during minicamp, caught passes from C.J. Stroud, and was still being ramped up carefully.

Choose a Dell surname pun for a Texans fan identity or a roster that includes him. For lineup decisions, follow his practice participation and playing time as camp progresses.

Tank You Very Much

Best For: Managers who like a clean, easy-to-read Texans reference.
Why It Works: It turns "thank you very much" into a familiar Tank Dell pun.

Dell Yeah

Best For: Texans fans and managers who want a short comeback-themed name.
Why It Works: It is simple enough for standings and works even if Dell's role changes.

Jalen Coker Contract Names

Multiple outlets reported that Carolina and wide receiver Jalen Coker agreed to a three-year extension worth $35 million, with incentives that could bring the deal to $41 million. Those reports also describe the deal as keeping him with the Panthers through at least 2029.

For a Coker roster, choose the short surname pun if space is tight, or the Carolina contract reference if your league follows Panthers news.

Coker Classic

Best For: Panthers fans who want a clean name tied to Carolina's young receiver room.
Why It Works: It gives Coker's surname the rhythm of a familiar soda slogan.

Coker's Carolina Contract

Best For: Managers who like names tied to recent offseason news.
Why It Works: The repeated C sound makes the player, team and contract reference easy to remember.

Rookie Names Still Worth Tracking

The NFL Draft tracker lists Fernando Mendoza first overall, Jeremiyah Love third, and Carnell Tate fourth in the 2026 draft. These names remain useful for dynasty and rookie-draft managers because they are tied to confirmed draft capital.

Use a rookie pun if the player is on your roster, or keep it as a draft-night option until you know who you will select.

Mendoza Lineup

Best For: Superflex managers or Raiders fans building around a rookie quarterback theme.
Why It Works: It gives the familiar Mendoza Line phrase a fantasy-lineup twist.

All You Need Is Love

Best For: Managers who drafted Jeremiyah Love or want a clean rookie RB pun.
Why It Works: It is recognizable, short, and tied to a confirmed top-three pick.

International Schedule Names

The NFL schedule article lists 49ers vs. Rams in Week 1 at Melbourne Cricket Ground, with an 8:35 p.m. ET Thursday kickoff on Netflix. That gives managers a real schedule hook for international-game names.

Because schedule-based names age quickly, use them if your league likes early-season references or weekly name changes.

Melbourne McVays

Best For: Rams fans leaning into the Australia opener.
Why It Works: It uses a confirmed schedule event and a familiar coaching reference.

Niners Down Under

Best For: 49ers fans who want a clean international-game name.
Why It Works: The joke is easy to understand without a long explanation.

Choose a Name That Lasts Beyond Camp

Choose Tank You Very Much or Coker Classic for a short player identity. Melbourne McVays and Niners Down Under fit a league following the international opener. A surname pun is easier to keep through the season, while a location reference makes a good weekly change.

Read your favorite aloud and preview it in your league app. Keep a broader backup ready if your first choice depends on a player you may trade or an event that will soon leave the schedule.
